Disney Check-In
I woke up late (yeah big surprise right) and I am all stressed out like, 'Omg I'm going to be late and they will hate me' but whatever. So I get dressed and I look all cute and get ready to leave the hotel. How come they put a recite under my door, but on the back of it was a note attached reading, 'welcome to Orlando, I hope you like it here. If you ever need someone to have lunch with give me a call, Gary.' OKAY CRAZY!!! He was freaking nuts, anyway, so I go to leave my room, but the bag I had to buy for the plane is SO HEAVY I can not lift it. So I ask this nice looking man if he can carry my bag for me? He looks at me and says 'I don't work here.' WELL EXCUSE ME! He was dressed like a lame, so I ASSUMED that he was working there. But you know what they say when you assume... anyway, I find a real person and he helps me go to check-out and then I ask the other bell-hop guy to get me a taxi. He puts my stuff in this ladies black SUV. I am like, okay, it looked legit, and I get in and tell the lady where I need to go. So we get to my spot and I am like, how much do I owe you, and she is sounds like she says 2.80, and I am like 'that is not very much, are you sure that is right?' and she is all 'yes yes' and I am like okay, and give her 5.00 and tell her to keep the change. So I get out and follow these nifty little signs like with all the characters on them they say stuff like 'Your journey begins here' and 'Dream it, Do it, Disney' and 'WELCOME TO THE TEAM' and other things like that. So there are like a billion people in line (more like 250 to 300 but whatever) and this cab driver lady like comes out of no where like yelling in Spanish like "alkjhflahnlfih foilhfrkje kalhf;ke" no idea what she is saying to me, and she is like, 'you only gave 5.' I said 'yeah, you said 2.80' and she is like 'NO NO I SAID THE 1 AND THE 2' I am like '12?' and she is like, '1 AND 2 AND YOU GIVE 5' So i didn't know what to do, so I took that money back and gave her a ten and three ones and she was like 'Thank you, nice day.' FOR REAL?! BECAUSE I'M PRETTY SURE WHEN I ASKED YOU LIKE 5 TIMES DID YOU SAY 2.80 YOU SAID YES!! So then everyone on this line is like looking at me like I am an idiot, and my stress level raised a ton. So we sign papers and stuff blah blah, get our apartment keys and then we go to take like our I.D. pictures. The guy who was doing my picture was like crabby and I couldn't understand anything he was saying. So they take my picture and I guess because I am short or something, the picture is weird and there is a lot of room above my head but you can't see my neck or anything, so it looks really dumb. Then I wait for like 45 min for this bus that is supposed to be taking me to my apartment building, and I have somewhere I have to be to be fingerprinted and all that at 12:40 and it was almost 12 before the bus came. I get off at my apartment complex and it is really nice and there is a big pool and clubhouse thing, and I have those two SUPER HEAVY bags that I can not lift, and it is SO HOT and I have to get finger printed and I have no idea how to navigate to where ever my apartment is supposed to be. Then this random man who was from 'The UK, I go back in 3 weeks, I been 'ere about a year' took one of the bags and helped me find my room. I go in, and all the beds already have stuff on them and then there is a room across from the kitchen that has an empty bed, so I put my stuff down and head back out toward the bus stop, which is like a 10 min walk away. I get there just in time to get on the bus and the guy is like, 'do you have your paperwork?' and I realize in my rush to make it back to the bus, I left my stuff in my room!! So I say nothing and turn and walk away. I get all the way back to the complex and walk up 3 flights of stairs (because I am on the 3rd floor) and go to this door and realize I am at the wrong building. So naturally, when your are distressed you do what any normal 19 year old girl would do, and sit on the stairs and have a crying fit for 10 min while people walk past you like 'what a weirdo' 'what is her problem?' Then I got up and figured out where I was going. I finally made it to the finger printing thing, and found out I will be a Character Attendant, which I am looking forward to. Later that night, I met my room-mates.
